Mac knew that Zoë would be tough to surprise, so he had to get creative. He pretended that he had hastily organized a quick meet up with one of the pastors at their church before grabbing drinks to celebrate Zoë's first week at her new job.

Everything was going smoothly, until Mac got greedy and said he was able to secure a day-of reservation at a place they'd been wanting to try. Unfortunately for him, Zoë had Google, and she quickly found out that they don't take reservations.

Regardless, Mac pulled it off, the two had a beautiful engagement in the Christ Church Memorial Garden, and their two families enjoyed celebrating all weekend together in Charlotte.
